The Story Of Rime Sbai
Rime Sbai is a young Moroccan artist who develops a new vision, image by image: an inclusive universe of freedom and lightness. To achieve this, she immerses herself in Moroccan traditions, deconstructs the masterpieces of art history and transgresses the portraits of celebrities.
In her universe, a refreshing childish gaze rubs shoulders with a realistic and ironically broken gaze; in her universe, tradition and modernity complement each other, individuality and diversity can coexist.
Her paintings live on a tense balance between a colourful, life-affirming naivety, and an enlightened, revealing awareness of criticism.
